Privacy policy
Plain-language version. Last updated September 2026.
The short version
Setstream is built so there's as little personal data as possible to protect in the first place. Fans need no account and install nothing. We never see a fan's name, email, or Spotify account.
What we store about DJs
- Your account: email (to log you in), display name, and handle (your public page). Your password is stored as a one-way hash — we can't read it.
- Your sets: the tracks you push, match decisions, and the playlists created on Setstream's own Spotify account. Set archives stay up indefinitely — they're the long tail of the product.
- Sign-in history: when you logged in or out, for account security.
What we store about fans: aggregates only
- No fan accounts. No names, emails, or device identifiers.
- We count views and viewers per set, and we sample public playlist follower counts over time. These are totals, never tied to a person.
- Coarse region (country level at most) may be recorded with a view — nothing more precise.
- Raw view records are aggregated and deleted after 90 days.
What we share
- Spotify: track titles you push are matched and added to a public playlist on Setstream's Spotify account. Fans who tap "Follow on Spotify" do so inside Spotify — we never see their account.
- We don't sell data, run ads, or share personal data with anyone else.
Deleting your data
DJs can delete their account from Settings. That signs you out everywhere immediately, removes your sets' playlists from Spotify, takes down your public page, and deletes your data within 30 days.
Cookies
One cookie: your sign-in session (DJs only). Fans get no cookies for tracking — there is nothing to track them with.
Questions
This is a v1 policy for a young product. If anything here is unclear, it should be rewritten — that's on us, not you.
